how much sacrifice is the correct amount of sacrifice?

this is something I think about often. how much do I change myself for others for the sake of social cohesion and stability?

I don’t have a good answer.

what I do know is that the answer is non-zero. there’s always going to be some degree of social accommodation across peoples and their respective flavors of etiquette. just one of those is-what-it-is moments.
