just a couple of quick things:

> are LLMs the neocortex of computers? they have hardware and operating systems and apps and algorithms and all these things that make computers do stuff, but now there’s a sort of “personality”, a method of expression. that is, of course, if you’re the type to believe computers are capable of expressions.

hmm.

> I’ve long been a proponent of the content singularity: the moment in culture where all content is competing with all other content. in many ways, we’re already there. Super Bowl viewership is, in at least a few ways, competing with a random Minecraft streamer. Hollywood is competing with Mr Beast. there are many cases of this, and probably many crossovers with industry titans (Hollywood and Mr Beast) to be had in the near future.

but what about the communities involved in these previously disparate content channels? perhaps we are also on the cusp of a community singularity, where the entirety of the internet serves as a social medium, with marketplaces and specific platforms serving as merely side rooms at the digital party. in some way, we’re already here as well, but I think this sort of…perception…perspective…frame of reference will become more notable and explicit in the coming years, as the internet continues to eat the culture.

everything is slowly becoming everything else and we’re giving a face to the machine that’s making it all happen. what a time to be alive if you’re the type to enjoy a good story. good meaning ‘quality’, of course, not necessarily a commentary on the ending of the story.

stay tuned!
